Children who have developed their phonics skills to a competent level will move away from the RWI scheme and will be given the chance to work on their grammar skills.
Children who find phonics difficult as they move into KS2 will continue to take part in RWI sessions or ' Freshstart' for the oldest children.
The children share their books with an appropriate adult in school at least once a week.
The adult asks questions relevent to the interest of the child and encourages predictions.

US national security adviser John Bolton has warned that Chinese investments could pose “threats” to Ukraine, as its novice leader prepares for a likely meeting with US president Donald Trump this weekend. “I think that if the fight against corruption is one of the priorities in Ukraine, then the last thing the Ukrainian people would like to see is even more corruption that enters the country from the outside,” he added, while declining to discuss specific deals.
